How to apply to Maurice R. Greenberg World Fellows Program

Four-month, full-time residential leadership program at Yale for accomplished mid-career leaders from around the world, with a living stipend, housing, travel and health insurance.

Step by step

  1. Check that you are eligibleThe published rules: Open to working professionals, founders, licensed professionals, creators and freelancers; Applicants should be five to twenty-five years into their professional careers with significant accomplishments; average fellow age is about 39.
  2. Gather the materialsYou will need: Academic CV, Personal statement / SOP, Recommendation letters (drafts for your referees).
  3. Write the answersBuild the statement around one plan for the fellowship period and the evidence that you will carry it out.
  4. Submit on the official pageApply through the official page (Own portal) before 2 December 2026, and keep the confirmation.
  5. Follow upNote when results are due. If the organiser invites questions, ask once, briefly, after the date has passed.

  1. 42 days before the deadlineAsk referees and order documentsAsk your referees, and order transcripts or score reports; these depend on other people's timelines.
  2. By 4 November 2026Draft the statementDraft the statement around one clear plan, with evidence from your record.
  3. By 22 November 2026Review and remindReview against the selection criteria; gently remind referees of the date.
  4. By 30 November 2026Submit and keep the confirmationSubmit early and check that every reference shows as received.
