How to apply to MacDowell Fellowship

Fully funded residency in Peterborough, New Hampshire, where artists get a private studio, lodging and meals to focus on their own work for several weeks.

Step by step

Check that you are eligibleThe published rules: Open to creators and freelancers; Open to artists of any nationality in architecture, film/video, interdisciplinary art, literature, music composition, theatre and visual art; artistic excellence is the only criterion. Conversational English recommended.
Gather the materialsYou will need: Work samples, Project proposal, Academic CV.
Write the answersChoose work samples that relate to the project you propose; panels look for continuity.
Submit on the official pageApply through the official page (Own portal) before 10 February 2027, and keep the confirmation.
Follow upNote when results are due. If the organiser invites questions, ask once, briefly, after the date has passed.
