How to apply for volunteer roles
Volunteer programs place people with nonprofits, events and humanitarian organisations, from a few hours a week to a year abroad. Coordinators select on reliability, relevant skills and availability more than on credentials.
How these are won
- State your availability precisely (days, hours, start date, duration); it is usually the first thing coordinators filter on.
- Connect one past experience to the cause or the task, even an informal one.
- Check costs before applying: some international placements charge a program fee, and the official page should say what it covers.

Questions you will meet, answered honestly
Why this cause?
A real reason in two or three sentences. A personal connection is fine; you don't need a dramatic story.
What can you offer?
Concrete skills (languages, first aid, teaching, logistics, design) and the hours you can genuinely commit.
How Onward Scout helps
Onward Scout maps the official form field by field, fills it from your sourced profile and drafts the written answers; you review and tap to submit. If the form stops at a CAPTCHA, a login or a payment, you get a handoff with every field ready to paste.
